Gushtasp catches Kitayun's eye at Caesar's court
Public Notes
Gushtasp goes to the court with the dihqan, but sits apart from the others, grieving. Kitayun roams the palace with her maidservants, catches sight of Gushtasp, recognises him from her dream, and announces that she has chosen him as her husband. A minister reports this to her father, who is dismayed that his daughter has chosen (as he thinks) a commoner, but eventually agrees to let them marry. Gushtasp and Kitayun go to live with the dihqan.
