Public Notes

The manuscript contains the Baysunghur Preface.

Several new folios have been inserted in the text:

fol. 27 is a modern replacement; the original must have carried a miniature of Rustam and the Khaqan of Chin.

fol. 208 is a modern replacement; the original probably carried a miniature of the second combat of Rustam and Pilsam.

fols. 354, 355 are modern replacements; the originals seem to have carried two miniatures, probably representing early exploits of Bahram Gur.

fol. 492 is a modern replacement, and the original probably carried a miniature of the death of Mahwi and his sons

Initial investigation of ms. by Amin Mahdavi.
