Bought in Paris in 1708 by the librarian of the Abbaye de St Victor, where it came from Ottoman Empire, where it was in hands of Ahmad al-Katib. In 1796 at the suppression of Saint Victor monastery was trasferred to the Bibliotheque Nationale (FR's notes)
